Thought I would share with you how I stay motivated to keep drawing, they are useful general things I like to do that can apply to a lot of things but I have applied to them to my art journey. Let me know if you have things you like to do yourself to keep you motivated.

1. Set goals. Set yourself some art goals. Do you want to learn to draw hands better? Learn how to use watercolours? Write it down on paper and keep a track of it.

2.Use social media to keep you accountable. Share your work with and goals with others. You are much more likely to achieve your art goals if you know have eyes watching it gives you that extra push to keep going.

3.Stop putting yourself down, stop telling yourself you art isn’t good enough. It isn’t going to help you stay motivated. Pep talk yourself up, be your own biggest cheerleader.

Somethings I didn’t mention in the video….

*Draw everyday get into the mode of drawing everyday and make it a habit.
*Do an art challenge. Sometimes it’s hard to keep motivated to draw if you don’t have any ideas on what to draw. Taking part in an art challenge on social media can give you some great ideas on great things to draw.
* Follow inspirational artists/people this will keep you motivated to keep going to try and be your best.
